Ignorance of Covenants is Ignorance of Christ
Hopefully, at this point, we confidently say, “Ignorance of covenants is ignorance of Christ.” And that is because what Saint Augustine said over thousand years ago is just as true now as it was then, “the New is hidden in the Old and the Old is revealed in the New.”
Even more, I suppose, the words of Saint John continue to be just as true, if not more, than when they were first written nearly two thousand years ago,
there are also many other things which Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.
And that is because all the things written about the ancient covenants point to the eternal truth of the words of our Savior, “I have not come to abolish the Law and the Prophets but to fulfill them.”
Our Christ and Savior came to destroy the works of the devil and he came to restore and beautify all the works of God. He came to fulfill. He came to create and restore and beautify. He came to build. Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ always! Come Lord, come.
